itunes file move

I know many dont like/use itunes, but i'll ask my question anyway.

The main drive on my laptop is the drive that also stores all of my music. This drive is now virutally full, so i want/need to move it to one of the other drives which is basically empty. Am i able to simply drag the folder from one drive to the other without itunes throwing a hissy fit when it tries to play the music and its all been moved to a different location. Am i going to have to tell it the correct filepath for each file or will it do it automatically after i tell it the first time?

When u have moved your music- go to preferences- advanced then change the media file location.
