Does anyone know if there is a piece of software you can download which allows you to edit MP3s and WMAs?

I knew when I worded it like that someone would answer like that, but I didn't think it would be you Timbo! Would you care to elaborate?

Sure... Yes, someone somewhere knows.

Wavepad is a basic audio editing piece of software which you can find free on the web.

Generally depends on the user.

So in your case probably not.

Very simple, clipping mp3s/wmas very simple, though one note, to export a file as mp3, there is an extra file needed:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/fa ... m=lame-mp3

Just follow the links and install this after installing audacity.

Ok next question in my fledgling career as a DJ [smilie=icon_mrhappy.gif]

Is there any (free!) software available that allows you to remove vocals from a MP3 file or CD track. have tried a couple but don't seem to work. Anyone any ideas? Merci

On a sort of related topic...can anyone recommend software that converts the bitrate of an mp3 file (eg reducing the bitrate from 320kb/s to 128 so that the file size is smaller)?
