Sunday Times article

Postby skyblue025 » Sun Mar 24, 2013 12:04 pm

I don't normally believe 1/2 of what the press write, but an article in the Sunday Times tends to have been researched properly.

According to said article, ACL Have spoken to the Texan and he wants in. He will also buy Higgs share of the Arena and invest heavily in the team.

Is there hope or just another red herring?

Sloppy lazy journalism with no basis in fact.

While the media are following the trail of the Texan, it leaves Mellie and our financial team (Hat) to get this deal over the line. Keep the faith.

Article could have well been written 5 or 6 days ago.... I wonder how much of it will still be the case given the subsequent events.

ACL now appear to be powerless in the proceedings... So how much if it was dependent on them having control of the situation.

God knows what truth there is in this. Didnt this guy try and buy Leeds a while ago but was unsuccesful?

I guess that might mean there is a bit more credance in this than Dhinsa or Hoffman but not getting too excited yet.

I think we're missing a trick here, we should make contact with potential investors on behalf of the untrust. Someone find me an email address for the yank.

The BBC are now reporting this story.
This could be a way of applying more pressure on Sisu and to affect court proceedings tomorrow.
Some think that by moving the "golden share" from CCFC to CCFCH's that sisu have pulled a "masterstroke". :?:
This could seriously backfire on them and the club :-( if this is deemed unlawful.
It is certainly high risk and dependent on the date (possibly) and whether the FL were informed.
Doubt whether sisu give a fuck about the club.
Whatever, tomorrow is going to be interesting.

If they have fucked this up then it is a huge mistake in trying to be clever and beat ACL to the punch.

However, all the comments relate to the last submittal of accounts back in Jun 2012, so it's reasonable conceivable to suggest they have 'moved' the golden share - probably quite deliberately.

Surely the league would know this had been moved... but can't see how they would be bound to tell ACL. I have a feeling that they will argue that they have seperated the holdings and the other company, and will suggest that as 'CCFC' essentially is a loss making venture that the intrinsic link between the two companies doesn't really exist.

I think there is a lot more left in this than some people believe.

Anyway if Preston is serious he would have invited us out for breakfast :D

Dog, as discussed in our email if you could inform the press of Realist/Mellie takeover bid it would be greatly appreciated. All details mentioned in the email are now fine to enter the public domain.
