well two fucked up clubs meet on the pitch tomorrow. It may be worth while getting the program as it could be the last time these two will ever meet.

2-0 to the city, and we will be only 11 points off the play offs

Just back from Pompey and that was as poor as i have ever seen us play.

As soon as their keeper saved the pen the team folded. Only Murphy and possibly Christie come out of the game with any credit what so ever. Abysmal

Lets hope Pressley will release McShef at the end of the season... he's had it.

Somebody I know that went today posted GMc's penalty on FaceBook just after it was missed. A dismal attempt, and it cost us severely. Each time we get within touching distance of the play-offs, the team self destruct.

Are we really surprised it was a miss? It wasn't that long ago that he and Sammy Clingan were missing them for fun. The manager has to now take some of the blame as he should have took the prodigal son out of the firing line before now. Should have been dumped long ago-no doubt some major brown nosing between now and the end of the season will secure a new deal for next season.

Not convinced he will be kept on this time, Adge. Wood, Bell, and McSheffrey's wages are still higher than a club in our position can afford, so unless he's willing to take a fair sized cut, I think he'll be off....

It wasn't good but I've seen worse performances this season. We still had our chances but they probably edged it. We were terrible out wide. Fleck and McSheffrey were abysmal - I'm surprised Pressley didn't ask them to swap wings for a bit. The ref was shit.

I had to listen to the most boring negative wanker all game. He spent the whole game repeating the same half a dozen negative comments. I really can't understand why these people bother going to games. Listening to his drivel you'd think we were bottom of the league. It wasn't as if he was even talking about the off field issues. Miserable bastard.

Just on the train back from Portsmouth, we were shit, easily as bad as I've seen us all season and I've watched a lot of shit although thankfully not all of it. McSheffrey probably shouldn't have taken the penalty but then if you look at it the other way maybe a penalty is exactly the cure for a attacking player in the worst form of his life. There was a resigned sense of inevitability around me when he stepped up to take it though and I've got a feeling we might not have lost if we'd scored although it was very early on, but when he didn't our heads dropped and our confidence just disappeared.

From then on I spent a long time just watching him and at times it was comical, particular highlights include drifting inside to hide behind the big right-sided CB when we got a break thereby taking himself out of the game; his defensive positioning (or rather his complete lack of ability thereof) but that's nothing new, at one point we were defending a throw level with our own penalty area on the left side and he came trotting back and started telling Jordan Stewart what to do which included suggesting leaving his man free and the throw taker, thankfully Stewart told him to fuck off then had a quiet word with him about defending when it went out for a goalkick; and his general attitude of being billy big bollocks when he's clearly the worst player in the side, it comes across from the stand that we should dare to suggest he might not be on top form the permanent scowl is back on his face similar to the one Rooney gets when he's shit too. In summation, I wish he'd fuck off.

Otherwise most of the rest were shit, Jennings is quickly turning into a very shit Micky Doyle, Fleck looks about as fit as me, the lad from Soton looks shaky next to Edge but not sure which ones fault that is, Bailey was anonymous again, McDonald was short on service as we failed to string two passes together most of the time but worked hard, Moussa "impressed" the most and I thought Jordan Stewart did ok given the considerable disadvantage of having **** in front of him, also Pompey heavily focused their attacks down out left-side.

I think this is the most infuriating part of his game. He just seems incapable of keeping the shape of the side. Time and time again, our left back has no wide outlet and the ball gets pumped into a crowded centre.

I can see no reason why we would offer him an extension on his contract, unless he came very cheap.

If we do let McSheff, Bell etc leave, along with the loanees we have in then it seems as if we will have very small squad next season. Mind you when this yank brings in Messi, Eto and Rooney we wont miss McSheff at all.

So everyone is assuming that the likes of Bell/Mcsheffrey will be wanted by someone else? Why would Bell want to leave when he has some 3 years of ridiculous wages at Ccfc left while sitting on his arse?
