Just said the same thing to my lad PS. Unreal really. How the fuck are we in this position - fucked over by the very company that was created purely to run the stadium we play in. Only at Coventry City.

I think SISU are going to pay some or all of the arrears and it wont be admin. They want to be in control.

Blah blah blah-off field boring bullshit politics. FFS! In a nutshell-if ACL don't like what SISU or CCFC or whoever the fuck it is that owes them rent are doing-why the fuck do they not just lock the doors on any Saturday morning of a fixture? Problem solved.

It could only happen to City. For once in our piss poor existence we finally look like we can do something, only for off the field bollocks to mess it up.

You couldn't make it up.

I think it's still a very long shot. After all in the last two games we've struggled to beat and snatched a draw against two quite poor sides at home. We've got Doncaster and the in-form Walsall coming up and need to make up a six point gap. All with Clarke missing, leaving us with one senior striker, and Baker missing at least one game. And even then it's only to get in the play-offs - that's hardly guaranteed to get promotion, or even a day out at Wembley as the JPT showed us.

And SISU still hold the trump card. if they believe we can go up, they can always pay up to prevent admin and thus the 10 point deduction.... Would the extra money from promotion make it worthwhile?

We only have four points to make up. We are three points behind Yeovil and Swindon but they have two games in hand on us (they play each other on Tuesday). We are three points behind Tranmere and four behind Bournemouth both of which have played the same number of games as us.

I agree that our current form and injuries still make it a long shot but the teams above us don't appear to be playing that well either.

i'm not so sure its as simple as that AD....

....I believe to avoid admin now the petition has been filed, CCFC have to prove they can cover all liabilities & debts as they fall due & prove they are viable going forward......i'm not sure some Mayfair suits dipping their hands in their pockets at the 11th hour will impress the High Court Judge.....

I'm not sure of that. But by doing so it would put the ball back into ACL's court and give them a decision to make.

They could continue with the order despite being paid up to date, get the club a 10 point deduction and risk the loss of goodwill among those CCFC fans who believe they are in the right if it were to cost the team a place in the play-offs. Or to prevent that potential scenario they could ask to withdraw the petition and end up going back to the slanging match in the medium term, but at least with a cashflow improvement as comfort and an outside chance the club could get promoted, improving ACL's position in negotiations.

I think ACL would go with option B.

Thats how I read it as well but am no expert (on anything). What is the timeframe for this? I am sure that I read that the hearing was Friday is that correct and if so is this just a prelim hearing where a decision will be made or is it likely to drag on?

I can't imagine SISU will walk into the hearing on Friday unprepared. I would imagine they will either pay or find a way to delay the whole process. I don't think it will end up being the day everything changed, as its being talked up in some circles.

Just heard a rumour, SISU have put us into admin? Could be bullshit, but it would make sense. SISU are CCFC's biggest creditor, so they get to choose the administrator.
