The BBC have stated that Black, Dickov and Curle are 3 of the 4 shortlisted, and supposedly Sherwood makes up the 4 man list.

Out of that who would you go for?

Black might actually appease the fans a little as well as putting a few thousand on the next home gate.

I'd go for that! I hope Black gets it because yet again when the vacancy becomes available his name gets mentioned. Lets give it him-let him fail-the people calling for him every year will finally all shut up and then we can move on with him not being mentioned again.

I'm really not sure what criteria the board are using for picking the manager but they certainly don't seem to be that good. I guess they're going down the younger and out-of-work route but two managers with previous experience who have never won more games than they've lost at any club they've been with and one with no previous experience at all doesn't really seem like the height of managerial potential.

Which only really leaves EB. Results weren't massively impressive but they weren't bad at all and at least it was exciting to watch. We'd try and attack which under Robins has largely proved to be more successful than the years of defend at all costs under CC, AB etc (and seemed to have resurfaced at the weekend)

If nothing else at least it'll finally shut up the bring him back brigade. For years they wanted McShef back and it just proved most rational people were correct in saying leave it be and remember the good times.

In order
1. Black
2. Sherwood
3. Dickov
4. Curle

And now I've said that I can't renege on it, cos once you go Black you can't go back

But I reckon Curle will get it.

Black had us playing free flowing attacking football - you would hope he has learned about seeing through the tougher, more physical games, as that was the weakness in his team (Wigan away springs to mind).

It is no coincidence as you say that the most enjoyable periods we have had were when we have taken a positive approach.

Black would seem to the choice from a pure coaching perspective.

It seems strange that we interviewed people a few months ago and none of the other interviewed managers are in the frame.

Dickov is an interesting one as he seems to have been working under real problems as Oldham (his coaching staff were all let go to cut costs). Before the Liverpool game I read that he was going to between five and ten games a week (U21 games and non league games) on top of taking training. He was a cnut as a player but might have something about him.

Apparently at the Sky Blue Trust meeting tonight Waggott told the assembled crowd (all 11 of them  ) that the BBC website had the names completely wrong

Sounds about right - the CET has it down to a 2 horse race between Pressley and Black.

So gods knows who will get the job. To be fair Robbins was an excellent choice and hopefully they will get the decision right again.

Just telling the truth squire! Some people don't like hearing it [smilie=icon_blink.gif] . Another thing people forget is the players that Black had at his disposal-ie Julian Joachim who for the first time was fit and firing on all cylinders. Now if he gets the job he will have Cody McDonald,Jordan Clark and Nathan Cameron.......

Lots of things have changed between then and now the main one being that the players he has at his disposal now will be playing a league lower than the ones he had then. I am sure you could look at the squad he had then and make reference to some poor players. As a maanger you have make the best of the squad you have and try and use the loan and transfer system to improve that squad. As all managers he will have his own ideas and move on certain players and try and work with and improve others.

it's already been proven that at this level, there's nothing wrong the squad we currently have. ( even post-McGoldrick ).

Our away form is superb. If the rest of the league hadn't been given a head-start & if we had any sort of semblance of any 'normal'
home form we'd be right up there.
