Make a few quid

Postby Realist » Thu Oct 23, 2008 11:10 am

Here is one to lay today on betfair.

14.10 Carlisle

Nicozetto.

I backed this a couple of years ago when I was away in Yarmouth, returned at 14/1. My mate Dale had gone skint playing cards that weekend and he had £40 win at 14's. Nice return.

can't remember who posted the link or even if it was on here but I get emails everyweek from someone called Matt Nesbitt, with the top bet for football games. Have not backed any of them so far, but he does seem to get most right  Not great odds but I would be well up if I'd put 50 quid on all the tips he's sent me. Todays was WBA v Newcastle, he said to back over 2.5 goals  Won the bet after 15 mins

I've just signed up for it now myself if he's as good as suggested, although I've not been doing too badly myself over the last few months.

his bet this week is Portsmouth-man city, over 2.5 goals ;-)

Portsmouth v Manchester City
Sat 14th, 3pm.

Caretaker manager Paul Hart will be in charge of Portsmouth for
their home game with Manchester City after the club's decision to
sack Tony Adams on Monday.

Portsmouth are currently in 16th place. They have played 12 home
games so far this season, Winning 4, Drawing 2 and Losing 6.
Opponents Manchester City are 9th in the league. Their current away
record is - played 11, Won 1, Drawn 4 and Lost 6.

If you're having a bet on Saturday's game, consider these 'high'
goal trends...

8 out of 12 Portsmouth home games have gone 'Over 2.5 Goals'.

7 out of 11 Manchester City away games have gone 'Over 2.5
Goals'.

Here are both teams' home and away Goal averages this season...

Portsmouth Home Goal Averages
For: 1.3
Against: 1.8
Total Average: 3.1 goals per game

Manchester City Away Goal Averages
For: 1.3
Against: 1.8
Total Average: 3.1 goals per game

The stats show that both teams are averaging just over 3 goals per
home and away game - bookies offer bets on Over/Under 2.5 Goals.

You can find the best odds on this match going 'Over 2.5 Goals'

could well be, but as I've said, he seems to get most right  Over the past few months I'd say at least 80% correct. Have not put a cent on any of them yet but if it keeps going like it is, I will be backing them. Not great odds but I'd rather back an evens winner than 10/1 losers ;-)

I think his success rate is something like 78% this season.
All of it is based purely on stats.
