My hopes for the Olympics....

Will England win a game of anything?
Will Tiger Tim win Wimbledon?

I don't think we're a joke. We're the only sane ones. The money would be better spend on a dual-carriageway all along the A9 than on the Olympics.

Just been told that GB could finish as high as 5th in the medals table!!....and that we're "gods" on the cycle track!!
....where we'll pick up loads....and swimming too. What do I know/care.....? I find it all ridiculous. Wake me up when its over.

Theres people saying exactly the same thing all the way through the football season... which seems to last for 11 months nowadays.

You can't look at how well we're doing this early into the Olympics. Our medals will mostly come from Track Cycling, Rowing and Sailing and no medals have been awarded for those yet.

Some of the sports are a little dull but you don't have to watch it and its not as if theres a lot on tele normally anyway. Its a great chance for smaller sports to get a higher profile - its probably four years since I last watched swimming, canoeing, hockey, etc. I've enjoyed a lot of it so far and the events I'm looking forward to watching (athletics and track cycling) haven't started yet.

I find the Olympics deadly boring, but every else in my house watches it intently, fair enough. It only starts to irritate me when I see Murray, or Ronaldinho, or Messi. I wich they would leave it to the boring sods who will never get a mention in a blue moon. Footy team GB should be explicitly decline the services of the PL, CC and League 1. Let the the minnows have their 15 minutes of fame.

Love watching the cycling - another gold!

Just watching Sue Barker present the athletics coverage. She has a flesh coloured mic which makes her look like she's got a huge wart on her cheek

I've not seen too much of it yet, but have they done the cycling inside the Velodrome yet?

Which is the cycling with everyone taking part in a sort of free for all? I always enjoy watching that.
