Will England win a game of anything?
Will Tiger Tim win Wimbledon?

In the wider world of Olympic sport the great cinematographer has pulled his support from this years Olympics in China. This will not go down well as the Chinese were hoping that these games would be free of controversy. Moreover, the Chinese hate to lose face and this snub will only invite further criticism and pressure on their foreign policy.

After the protests yesterday it seems that the IOC are now regretting giving the Olympics to China.
It seems certain that these games are going to be a political/pr nightmare.

countries should not be given the games to bring them into line, they should get the games after coming into line. Its going to be a long summer for those in charge 8)

Agreed, good point but there is massive temptation to award the games to those who can "put on a show"
With all the stadia, facilities, security, infrastructure, etc. that goes with it it becomes harder to find
suitable candidates.
Think they've really fucked up on this one though. Not only Tibet but there's Darfur and summary domestic executions running into the 1000's every year.
