It'd be FANTASTIC to see one of the young British players coming through to win....I really hope it happens .......but it's just hope really. We're almost as bad now at golf as we are at tennis and football.
We're crying out for a world beater, a genuine hero to inspire the next generation of golfers, to spur them on....Rose is our best hope. He's done well in recent Majors but the step up to actually winning is becoming a bigger psychological battle with each barren year that passes. Mentally he appears tougher than most.
Imperative he has a good start. It's relative easy to start the final day in 15th and finish 5th but he needs to be nothing worse than 5th (or a couple off the lead) with nine still to play.
I hope he pulls it off.

If the weather is good, Woods will win

Henrik Stenson is a good each way bet. Has major winner written all over his game. If Woods plays to 80% of his game hs should still win.

Even if the weather is bad Woods should still win. Rose, crap start, just not up to it.

I'll get me sticks [smilie=icon_wink.gif]

If Garcia can find his form on the greens i'd back him, had a good run in opens of past.

YES!! I agree 100% a revelation! When you compare him with the pampered charlies who look so fucking miserable. His swing looked good too, built to last. Got a bit quick on a few putts at the end but he just laughed. Great.

I was wondering why this thread wasnt in the music/films/games room from the title.... [hmmm.gif] but apparantly there some sort of match going on in that funny game where people dressed like an australian's nightmare randomly hit little ping-pong balls with funny shaped bats - usually into water ? I didn't think Garcia played too badly. A couple of poor holes on the front 9 but he was unlucky with a few putts skimming the hole on the run in. Romero was the one who really blew it. Two double bogeys after he got himself into the lead.

Felt for Garcia.....it's so tough leading from start to finish. Much easier coming from behind. Garcia actually started hitting his shots when he'd lost the lead and can count himself unlucky.
Unbelievable climax to the week. Got a text from a mate at Lords apparently there was more interest in the golf?
Parties all over Ireland - awash with guinness - fantastic support.
