I wasn't necessarily saying he should be ignored because it was a team effort, otherwise a vast majority of sportspeople would have to be ignored, and even those in individual sport owe a massive debt to trainers, support staff and family for being in a position to achieve that level of greatness.
Wiggins is a better all-rounder than say Cavendish who really does rely on teammates to leave him with a chance of getting that finish, but I still believe that what Wiggins gains in time trial he would lose in the mountains were it not for the help of teammates.
I'm not saying he's not an excellent sportsman, nor that he isn't a personality, I just believe that from a very strong field this year there are more worthy winners.
