Is this a good idea guys?

How easy is it to install the OS to the laptop?

Will a numptie like me be able to do it?

can't you get laptops with linux (which is free) installed?

It doesnt come with a disk thats the problem matey.

No idea about Linex Dogga can I get for free?

yeh you can get it for free, ubuntu is a popular version and supposedly easy to install, what's the crack with the laptop?

It is also MUCH better than Windows IMO
Whoever is first in the field and awaits the coming of the enemy, will be fresh for the fight; whoever is second in the field and has to hasten to battle will arrive exhausted.

Just need a new one and best spec was without an operating system (over £100 cheaper than with!). I assume I can get online etc with it to download the OS?
