Has anyone any sensible ideas for getting to Barnsley IE cheap train offers or a bus running ?
If not, may put a bus on from Rugby , would anyone be interested in that if we can arrange a Coventry pick up/ drop off ?
Train from Rugby is 3 hours and involves THREE changes, one being at Leicester !

I am guessing a handful of people off hear might be interested. I would get a quote and work out a price and we can get names for you.

Oi Haggis, Deej, Dog.

Are we going to this and if so how? I can get a train to Brum (cheap) but Barnsley by train is a right nightmare. If they put on a bus from Rugby are we going to do that? Or is someone going to drive etc?

Need to know asap as working away next week and have limited internet access.

Na I think we have knocked that idea on the head and go for a stop over later in season (possibly Ipswich). Hotels were too expensive and we all spent a fair bit in Ireland.

Also Haggis said you were driving to Barnsley just after what rough time you are picking us up.

If we can get twenty people we can get a bus for 17 quid each ( same as club travel for ST holders i think) ( but with a refreshment stop :-> ). If we get more it could reduce. Anyone interested speak up. We have 8 confirmed already.

How much is it to get in at Barnsley? Do they do discount for the unemployable? Or students? I might be up for this, depending on whether or not I've sold my car.... [smilie=icon_wink.gif]

brgccfc - where would the coach run from? I was contemplating going by club coach but if your coach is £5 cheaper with a refreshment stop then I'd say that's the best option!

It would run from Rugby but if enough interest a pick up should be possible from Coventry.
