Norwich away

Right sod the footie (dont even have to go unless you want to) Haggis thinks we can get a two day cheap deal in Norwich. Is anyone interested in a weekend on the beer in Norwich?

Haggis can you post the rough cost of the hotel matey and we can see who is interested.

I'm not doing Sunderland. I was up for a weekend but no one else was up for it and I've made other plans now.

my charm for a few hrs. I wouldnt over stay my welcome tho, so i would prob leave there around 19.00hrs. ( or even earlier depending on times of trains to get us back )

From the list there is the Beeches (4 star hotel 10 minutes from centre) have twin/double rooms available at Ã‚Â£40 per night.

Anyone interested in staying over? If so just Saturday or Friday as well?

Just got to sort out how to get there now.

Directions -

Coming from London on A11 or from Ipswich on A140, you will connect with the Southern Bypass

All routes into Norwich connect with the Southern Bypass which is signposted A47 to Great Yarmouth. Ignore all signs to Norwich City Centre until you reach a sign which says Norwich City Centre to the left (Football Traffic -- County Hall -- Trowse)

At lights turn left towards City Centre, proceed to the next lights and turn right. Keep in the right-hand lane for Ring Road Traffic. At the roundabout take the second exit (for City Centre and Ring Road) keeping in the right-hand lane. At the lights turn right into King Street, passing Colmans Mustard on your right, bear right over the River Bridge passing the Football Ground to your right. After 100 yards you will approach traffic lights (adjacent to Morrisons Supermarket which will be on your left). Keep in the right-hand lane and turn right following the signs (Ring Road -- A47 Great Yarmouth / Thorpe St. Andrew). As you follow the road round to the left you pass over a railway bridge, proceed up the hill and keep in the right-hand lane. At the lights turn right sign-posted Great Yarmouth A1242.

When on Thorpe Road, keep in the left-hand lane following the sign Great Yamouth A47.

The Cumberland Hotel is on the left-hand side with four large flagpoles and an AA sign in front of the Hotel.
