Sorry Banksie, I'm down to a mere one car now - and it's a beauty! So hands off!

Still got my amp to sell, and an electric acoustic guitar thingy, plus 100 CD albums, 100 CD singles, plus a few promo and/or limited edition CDs. And a unique Peter Pan advertising thing (Probably 10' x 2'). And a metallic blue settee. And a weight training bench with weights. And some baby stuff (Maybe I should plug this on a different thread!).

Yeah - got three minors though.

One for observation on reverse parking and two for lane discipline I think it was. But fook it passed anyway.

Any majors and you fail.
I think it's up to 15 minors you're allowed, but more than 2 minors for the same thing and you fail.

16 minors = fail,
3 minors in the same category = fail.
1 major = fail,
1 dangerous = fail.

On top of the 50 theory questions, and 14 hazard perception clips you have to do, now you have to do a "Show me tell me" at the start of the test. where the examiner asks you things like; "Open the bonnet, identify where you would check the engine oil level and tell me how you would check that the engine has sufficient oil.", "Show me / explain how you would check that the power assisted steering is working before starting a journey." getting either of these wrong is a minor fault, so before you have even got into the car you could be on one minor fault.

In my day there were no written tests, you could run a red light, kill a pedestrian and still pass.

I went to mine thinking that if I passed, I passed and if I failed, I failed and would take it again.

But when I got to the test center my Instructor started talking to the examiner about City - - In my pocket - [nod]

So if you can, find something that you and the examiner like and talk about that it will help you relax quickly.

I started talking about footy on my test. The conversation lasted about two sentences, until the examiner announced he was a Leicester season ticket holder. Surprisingly I didn't pass

You're mistaking me for CK. In my day we had a guy walking in front of us with a flag. [smilie=icon_mrhappy.gif]

True. But when they ask you what you're supposed to do when you're getting out of a car, and you forget to mention something as trivial as looking for cyclists before opening the door, they count that towards a fail....
