Premier League 'released list' (In amongst the blurb). Go build yourself a team, that will never be seen at either The Ricoh or Sixfields.

Chances of Westwood coming back? Minus quite a lot....

I think Andy Butler of Walsall could be decent. Experienced, captain of a Walsall team that does very well IMO for its budget.

We really need to beef up the defence given how many we conceded last year. Webster has improved but I'm not convinced by Seaborne - always seems to have an error in him. Willis isn't ready (and I'm not sure he'll make it), Urquhart is totally untested and Clarke just isn't a centre back (and to save Adge the trouble..... or a footballer).

Think Butler is in advanced talks with Sheff Utd - so can rule that one out but agree what I have seen of him he would be a decent option

Probably out of our range but two more released I'd be interested in - Ishmael miller and Matt Derbyshire

Think Bailey is off to Sheff Utd as well but agree that he seemed to do ok for us.

Agree about Derbyshire and Miller but cant see either being interested in joining us.

Former AVFC U21 gk Calum Barrett has been courted by Coventry and Bradford City. He is currently playing at Brocton on the Midlands League.

Messi to link up with Sky Blues after the European Cup Final, he said

"I have always admired Tony Mowbray as a coach and can't wait to team up with Tudgay in attack"

Was once highly thought of and bought for £2 to £3m. Didnt see him play at end of last season but reports werent great. I guess if (and it is a big if) TM thinks he can get something out of him that is closer to what he showed a couple of years ago rather than what he did last season he might be a better signing than we expect.
