Cant understand all this talk about Thompson returning (on several other message boards).

Probably another Sherwood, JJ or KON yet because several seasons ago he was one of our better players lots of people want him back.

Has barely played in last two years, been released by two clubs (mainly because of injuries) yet we should waste money on him. Released many weeks ago and still not got a contract, I wonder why. Rumuors suggest he has been up to Celtic and Everton without being able to prove his fitness.

Possibly on a pay as you play deal but nothing else or something similar to what we did with Hughes. Personally think he could struggle to find a club and may well be forced to retire (sad as was one hell of a player). Too big a gamble.

There is no gamble if he is on a pay as you play basis as Hughes was.

Why should it? I merely wondered if your comments were so devoid of a response that you decided to respond yourself. I am slightly baffled why your comments would deserve any applause though.

Just picking a name at random here, but what about Jason Koumas? David Thompson is apparently on his way in, and Koumas hasn't turned up for pre-season training yet and is being fined by Robson for going AWOL. If thats a sign he ain't happy at Albion, I don't know what is?!

Not trying to take the piss out of anyone Englander.

I think my ramblings were very good. Of course others may think they are shite and can give a 2 finger salute as they wish.

Koumas wants to go to Cardiff but they cann't afford the 1 mill WBA want. Not sure we could either.

Koumas will sign for Cardiff early this week, clubs have agreed fee etc and he just needs to agree terms.

A) Koumas wants to join Cardiff.
B) We can't afford him, £1.5m the fee is, we have greater priorities.

As for Thommo, I don't believe he would join us. I reckon a club like Reading will snap him up. We be amazing to see him on the wing though.

I didn't mean "Thompson is apparently on his way in" that he is coming here, but the face he is on his way in to West Brom.

Horsefield would be a useful signing, but not a long term player. Would fire us 15+ goals I reckon.
