He may cost though as Sheffield Utd paid 1.2 million for him and can't see them making a loss on him.

The Mirror say they're prepared to let him go for £500k, and it seems Adams would cough up.

Also a Cardiff fan says we've been linked with Lee Trundle.

Well most of these rumours come to nothing anyhow, so no point even discussing it.

There would be no way we could afford trundle i dont think, they would probably want quite alot for him, cause earlier in the season he was wanted by everton

Can you really guarantee that? He managed 4 in 2004/5, and 14 the season before that - despite being involved in most games.

I'm a fan of Horsfield but he's never been that prolific even in this division. I seem to recall he was very effective for West Brom in the 4-5-1 formation they sometimes played in their promotion season. He defends from the front and chips with important goals rather than bags of goals.

In saying that 500k is a lot of money for a player of his age and who has failed to do a lot in the last two seasons (albeit in the Prem).

Surely he would be far more effective at holding the ball up than Adebola.

I'm not sure what your point is.

Horsfield may well be a better option than some of the players we currently have BUT the same is true of a number of other players who we could get for 500k (or less).

Just because (for once) we have money to spend doesn't mean we shouldn't still be prudent. The bulk of any transfer money remaining should be being earmarked for a first choice keeper.

The horse would be a decent signing. Why buy him though??? He is not going to get a sniff of a game at Sheffield so get him on a seasons loan.

I wouldn't pay 500k for him. Maybe 1/2 that.

To be honest we would be better off paying the that amount to Tommo in extra wages. [smilie=tfr73f.gif] [smilie=tfr73f.gif] [smilie=tfr73f.gif] He still hasn't signed for anyone. Come on MA.
