I can feel it in my bone....

I actually think we will do OK this season.

Not sure if we will go up automatically, but a top six place should be a reachable target.

My mate who is a Notts County die hard says their squad is looking terrible for this season and he is expecting a loss. So I reckon with a 5-0 win under our belts we should be top on August 5th. :D

I'm currently feeling that way too - I like the standard and experience of players brought in thus far.

It's inevitable that we'll lose some of the squad but of the ones I expect may go I don't feel they're irreplaceable (or in some cases will even be missed!)

My biggest fear is that MR will jump ship at the first opportunity again, but at this moment in time I think I'd be disappointed if we weren't play-off contenders [smilie=icon_blink.gif]

I wasn't that fussed about Bigi leaving.

I've never been his biggest fan and was shocked when Newcastle offered silly money for him.
Having said that, I thought his best ever game for us was in the final last season.
I would have kept him for this season, but we won't really miss him.

I reckon we will get automatic promotion this year! We have to at some point, don't we?!

Another insipid performance.

So how can we make it better? I admit I can only use the musings on the radio as a guide and others might be able to say otherwise, but I think we need to sort out the Doyle/Kelly partnership. They both seem like capable players but they sound very, very similar in style and we've got most of our midfield sitting far too deep making a huge gap between the defence and attack. It's like a poor(homeless) man's Gerrard and Lampard. I think it needs to be either/or with someone like Stevenson a bit more advanced.

The attacking options also need looking at - Beavon and McNulty are a similar problem it seems. Maybe Andreu to replace one, or maybe Vincente as he doesn't seem to be suited to the wider attacking role and Nazon may be better in that area. Of course KT is also a potential choice as a second striker. JP I thinks sounds like the perfect foil in attack but I think he's still a bit raw and needs a bit more time in the reserves to bridge the gap in standard. Biamou I can't see as much more than the big lump to smash the ball up to in emergencies but he's made a step up too and maybe like JP needs some time playing in the reserves to adjust.

Thoughts?
