Relegation battle?

Postby adge » Sat Feb 22, 2014 10:59 pm

Well the wise amongst us all knew that we would be fighting a relegation battle despite the ludicrous talk of playoffs a few weeks ago. Proof really that Leon Clark papered over the cracks for us while we were punching above our weight. Expect the "we'll be alright when Wilson comes back" brigade to appear soon. Won't be the same player now that Clark has gone and goals for him will dry up.
Slightly worrying when Pressley has come out after the game and say we didn't have that heart for it?

A lot will depend on the partnership Wilson forms with Akpom or Delfouneso.

Earlier in the season we carried such a great goal threat that teams were not commiting men forward against us, but with Wilson injured and Clarke gone we no longer scare teams and that leaves them free to attack us more. If we can get some strikers back among the goals we can still secure some mid-table obscurity.
Have fun

So far so okay. Now, if only the defence could get the hang of defending.... ;-)

Well at least this time he'd have needed to cup his hand to his ear to hear them!

It is good to see Wilson still scoring (not you Sid!) as I thought things would dry up for him too. I'm still sure we'll be safe of relegation (I'm now hoping I haven't put a Burf like curse on it)
